HisServ asked:

Okay so my husband was released from his job recently. He found another job (we think) and we want to move ASAP because we are running out of money. The lease on our apartment goes until May. We want to move at the end of March. If we move then we have to pay 1500 to get out of our lease. Someone said that they thought that there was a provision if you have to move for another job. Anyone know? Please help! Don’t have $1500 to pay!
Well unfortunately they won’t work with us. So I guess we’ll just have to pay the $1500

i dont know about the provision, but i do know that most landlords (if you are in good standing with them) will let you out of your lease if you give him at least 30days notice, and explain the reason for the move.
it would also help if you possibly know someone to take over the lease

The direct answer will be found in your lease agreement itself. As mentioned, most landlords will understand and work with you if you give them enough notice. Good luck and congratulations on the new job!
