How would you improve the jobs of telemarketing service reps?

They tend to repeat the same tasks each day - answering phones, answering questions, finding answers from other sources if they don’t know the the answer, etc. How can using the job characteristics model (JCM) improve the jobs of the employees in order to improve motivation, performance, and job satisfaction?
