Anyone have a hard time finding a job with a Bachelor’s degree from Devry University?

Finding a job
Isabeau asked:

I am currently in the business administration program and my major is Health Services Management.
Has anyone else graduated and then had a hard time finding a job because you received your degree from Devry?

I am going to be about $50,000 in debt when I’m all done and not being able to find a job to pay for it is my worst nightmare!
What should I do? Will I be able to transfer my courses to a “respectable” college?

I imagine that lots of people do. DeVry is a For Profit corporation with no admissions standards. Employers do not respect degrees from these kinds of schools.

In good times, graduates of For Profit universities have to accept jobs that pay thousands of dollars less than those who go to respectable universities. In times like these, they will have a hard time finding any job related to their fields.

well….thats a great question. I went to Devry Columbus and graduated in 2002 with a Bach. of Science in Computer Information Systems. I was not really able to find a job in the field I graduated in. But some say that it is my own fault, that I should have done better and graduated with a higher GPA and taken an internship/co-op while I was in school.
