How can I help a Korean person find a job?

I would like to find a job for my Korean girlfriend somewhere in the Northern Virginia area.

She majored in Public Administration in Korea, and she has pretty good English skills, but she’s studying to improve on that.

Are there organizations that help immigrants find jobs? There’s a pretty large Koreatown in Northern Virginia, so I’m hopeful that there may be. Does anybody know of any, or of alternate options?

    The only way she can get a working visa is if she has a skill that no one else here has. If she doesn’t have a skill like that, then the only way she can get a visa is if you marry her.

    I don’t know about Northern Virginia, but in New York they have a ν•œμΈνšŒ, a Korean community service that helps Korean immigrants get jobs, learn English, and all that good stuff. They will most likely also provide legal assisstance, all at minimum cost. I see no reason why a Korean community would not have one of these.

    Also, if you marry her she would become an American citizen, not gain a visa. However, she needs a working visa to work ligitimately.

    Check local Asian newspapers in classifieds. Usually they prefer bilinguals with at least one Asian language ability and English, of course.

    She should write out resumes to just about anywhere that employs. Being biligual is an advantage, especially since there are lots of koreans in America. She could probably get a job in a hospital as a translator, a lawyer firm, or the embassy. They will be more than willing to pay her big $$$ for her skills. All she has to do is advertise herself to be known.
