I also have been arrested twice before when i was 18 and now that I’m 21 but I have never been convicted of a crime so I was wondering if it will be difficult for me to find a job with my Criminal Justice degree and whether I should expunge my record? Thanks
By the way I was arrested for a DP,then the second time I was arrested for beating up my ex boyfriend he put charges against me but never showed up to court so they were dismissed… Thanks

It may be wise to expunge your record, but since you
have not been convicted your Masters Degree should not
stop you from becoming a police officer or anything else
that you may want to do. Most of the jobs in the world
consider the degree over the discipline that was taken.
Check with some of the police departments around your
area and see what they say, also law firms may be intrested
in someone to do investigations and research.
Good luck to you, wish you well in school

You should try and get your record expunged. It may be hard because of those charges against you. Try getting recommendations that you turned your life around.

If you have never been convicted of anything, there is nothing to expunge. Your record is clean. Most jobs only ask about convictions, and usually only felonies. In any case, an arrest that resulted in no charges being pressed will not show up on any background check. You are an innocent man in the eyes of the law, my friend. It would be unfair to impugn you over unfounded charges. You have suffered enough.
The arrests will be visible to law enforcement checks, or government security clearances, but still should not hinder you. Didn’t they teach you that at Rutgers?
cheers!
