My boyfriend and I have been planning this trip for about 4 months now and I recently got a new job and I really wanna go on this trip… What do I tell my boss at work if I have to be out of work from June 2 _ June 7 ? & I just started about 2 weeks ago & really need to keep this job !

    First of all you should have told your boss upon hire that you have a previously scheduled vacation but since you didn’t do that then you have no choice but to tell them about it now. Just tell your boss that the trip was scheduled before you started with them and you can not change it and tell them that you understand that it might not be a paid vacation (if they have company policy stating that you are not allowed to take paid vacation during your first 30 days or what not) They might be ok with it.

    u dumb dumb , didnt your boss ask you if there was any dates coming up that u couldnt work when he hired u? every employer i had asked me that. umm u best tell him soon not just soon but right now, explain how youve had the trip planned out for so long and tell him that u really hope its not a burden and that u can still go. im sure he’ll understand
