Finding a job that makes you happy, what if NOT having a job makes you happy, what then?
October 29th, 2008 | by admin |thebuffettour asked:
The reason people get paid to work is because no one would do the work for free. The reason no one would do it for free is because something about the job ***** so how do you find a job that makes you happy if parts of the job ****.
I took a day off the other day and got to spend some time with my kids, some time by myself and some time with just my wife. That is what I want for a job so what do I do for money?

You’ll be broke and reality is “YOU NEED TO WORK TO SUPPORT YOUR FAMILY’. BE A MAN!!!! I don’t know anybody that loves their job, however, a job is a necessity of life!!!!

Well well well… sounds like someone watched “Office Space” one too many times, eh? Here are some options :
1. A work at home job, something internet based
2. Start your own **** site
3. Sell ***** cocaine
4. Sell yourself
5. Sell yourself and ***** cocaine
As you can see, the options really aren’t too pretty. Better keep your day job.

What should you do for money? If you aren’t independently wealthy or don’t want to work, you can always sell the children, or just be a drain of society by taking welfare and stealing honest, hard-working folks’ oxygen.

Find the thing you love so much that you’d do it for nothing. Then, when you get paid to do it, it’s not a job.

Your second premise is not universally true. People don’t necessarily refuse to work for free because something about the job ’sucks’. They do it because it if you spend your time working for free without remuneration, you won’t be able to eat, clothe yourself or pay bills.
The job itself could be fantastic, even without payment. And spending time with your family might have some bad bits you don’t know about yet.
The answer to your question is, do something from home or start a family business.

Love, work and knowledge are the wellsprings of our life. Obviously you should find a job you like, or discuss the possibility of becoming a ‘house husband’ with your wife. Lots of people work for free, its called volunteering.

you will find out that you have got to work, so when the alarm goes off get up and go to work, the sooner you accept that fact and do it, the sooner you’ll be happy doing whatever job you have.—ugru

i LOVE my work. i love my bus.(bus driver) i dont work overtime, so when i get my days off i can really appreciate them. i love my kids. but its nice to go to work and get away for a while. and the money rolls in. so its the balance. if u were home all the time u would soon get bored. unless u found a hobby. and if that made u money… then u would have a job that u loved!

Either find what you truly love doing… for example open a day care center where you & your wife can spend time together running the business, or try out those MLM home business opportunites- see if any of them pan out?
In the meantime, take temporary gigs to keep food on the table! You are who you are, not what you happen to be doing.

I understand what you are saying even though I don’t agree with it entirely, I also don’t get the feeling that you are just lazy and don’t want to do work. I think you are just a guy who may be sick of his job and wants more time for himself and with his family. That is respectable.
As far as I can see, your options are mainly to either win the lottery so you truly don’t need to work, your wife needs to earn enough to support everyone (but in that case, you may not see a lot of her), or you need to try your hand at starting your own business, which will need to be something both that you enjoy doing and that won’t consume all of your time. If it’s too time consuming or you **** it (or both), it kind of defeats the purpose, plus, you won’t have the freedom to take time off like you do with your current work situation.
Best of luck to you, and if you find the answer to how not to work but still have money, let me know!

People work to survive. Ultimately that’s what work is. In the old days, people worked on farms to produce the food they needed to eat. Money throws a little wrinkle into things by acting as a medium of exchange, so people don’t have to produce EVERYTHING they need. They can buy stuff from other people who produce it. So essentially, people get paid to work because other people are willing to pay for the goods and services they produce.
So it’s really not possible to “not work,” because that equates to “not survive.” At some point, you have to do something to get the money you need for you and your family to survive. Thus, “not having a job” isn’t what makes you happy, because not having a job ultimately means watching your loved ones starve to death (obviously not something to be happy about).
Again, work is only worth paying for if it provides goods or services that other people value. Therefore, hanging out with your kids doesn’t make money because it’s only valuable to you and your family. Unless you’re going to charge your family for the privilege, you have to contribute something that other people will want.
Ok, so if it’s not really possible to derive happiness from not working, and it’s ultimately necessary to do something other people want, then the best option is to find a job that lets you do something you like to do — ideally something you would do anyway, in your free time. Not everyone can reach that ideal, so the next best option is to do work that feels rewarding to you, because that feels good and therefore provides motivation.

spending time with your family is not a job (unless you are a stay at home mom, they work their ***** off, then they should get paid, maybe in a perfect world) taking care of their need is. shelter, food and school, which cost money and a job provides that. economics 101, supply and demand is another reason. the demand for fathers to stay home and play with their kids? employers are going to gain what from that? what do they get? what is the supply?
